BPA Collaborates with K12 Inc. to Give

A graduate of Midway High School, Michael Kunka is now a student at Western Colorado University. In high school, Michael Kunka worked at various businesses in Texas, including Bush’s Chicken, where he was a food server, and Ridgewood Country Club, where he was a lifeguard. Mike Kunka is a member of Business Professionals of America (BPA).

BPA aims to empower students with the resources they need to discover their passions and embark on professional growth early on. The organization works with educators to offer co-curricular exercises for business and information technology learning to its membership, which includes 45,000 students across the country. Recently, BPA partnered with K12 Inc., a premier provider of tech-enabled education, to offer some of the association’s programs to students through its online system.

K12 Inc. offers critical career training to students in primary, secondary, and postsecondary institutions, complementing their core curriculum education in a personalized online setting. Through its partnership with BPA, K12 will pay the BPA membership fees for students in the schools it supports all the way to 2022. It will then add BPA’s programs to its suite of online offerings, giving students and staff at the schools it works with the opportunity to participate in BPA’s programs and activities. This will enable more students in the country to acquire technical skills for success in their future careers.
